Frustration Cure
Got frustration? It is the result of denying what already is, rather than accepting it and finding a way around it through calm logic as opposed to raw, egoic emotion.
FRUSTRATION occurs when circumstances don't go the way we want, expect or hope. Here is why things don't go the way we want.
1. Expectations, wants, hopes were unreasonable or not in line with the flow of the universe.
2. Inadequate preparation on our part. It has been said that to hope is to be desperate, knowing inside that you have not taken all required actions to achieve the desired outcome, or knowing that your desires are outside the realm of possibility.
3. By resisting mentally things that have already happened, we become frazzled. Good word.
4. When our happiness or peace of mind is dependent on our expectations being met, whether reasonable or not, we are openly risking our very happiness on circumstances that may be beyond our control.
The Frustration Cure
1. Prepare. Do all the steps required to make your desired outcome real, leaving plenty of time to adapt to changing conditions.
2. Once you have done all the steps required, present it to the universe by dropping it from your mind. If it was meant to be, it will happen.
3. Accept. Accept the outcome as the only one possible.
4. There are only two paths to happiness and peace of mind when expecting or desiring outcomes. The first is achieving the outcome because your actions were aligned with the universal flow. The second is accepting the outcome as beyond your control, or beyond the amount of preparation you were willing to commit to.
5. The two most important tools you can use to avoid getting frazzled are flexibility and compartmentalization. Being flexible in the face of changing conditions will allow you to achieve your goals perhaps through another avenue than that originally planned. Compartmentalization is when you break down all the tasks required by importance, focusing on the most important thing first while shutting out all others.
By compartmentalizing tasks, you avoid the feeling of being overwhelmed and the frustration that always goes with it.
Take a deep breath, feel the air entering your lungs, its life giving oxygen being absorbed into your body. Exhale deeply. As you have concentrated for a few seconds on breathing, the outside world fell away. You were totally living in the moment. For that moment you experienced true peace of mind. Yes you did. Peace of mind does not mean never ending happiness or elation but a lack of worldly, ego driven thought or emotion.
6. As the unmet desire or want or unforeseen circumstance arises, you may start to feel uneasy inside. This is the response to a threat that things may not be going the way you want them to. Your want has become more than the arbitrary thing it started as. Your very identity has been assimilated with the want. If the want is not met, your very self-concept will be diminished and so will you. STOP! Take a deep breath. Recognize the want as having posessed you and convinced you that it IS you and release the want now, knowing that ultimately, nothing matters. Check out
