Intention


Your thoughts are a reflection of your intention, whether you are conscious of that intention or not.

Your intention, whether you are conscious of it or not, is what determines how you will shape and experience the physical forms that show up in your perception. If you want to see light as a particle, you will devise a meter that shows light as a particle, as opposed to thinking it was a particle before you looked at it. Know that your intentions, through quantum principles, help to shape your experience.

Each and every thought reflects your intention. By thinking positive thoughts, your intention and attention are seeking to create positive or high frequency experience, or reality.

By thinking negative thoughts about yourself, other people, the world, or anything else, your intention and attention seek to create negative experiences, whether you are aware of this or not. You blame the world or luck for the undesired incidents that happen around you when in fact what happens around you is a perfect match to the frequency of your intention.

So if the frequency of your intention and attention shape the events that you experience, and the way you perceive your experiences shapes your reality, you do in a sense create your own reality.

Though the equation of your reality is also affected by the collective human intention, and to a lesser extent, other individual intentions, it is the frequency and duration of your own thoughts that have the most influence in the creation of your personal reality.

Thoughts of love, joy, compassion, gratitude and other positives are of a higher frequency than hate, greed, selfishness, fear, and other negatives.

How can we use this knowledge on a daily basis to have more influence on our own realities?

By being mindful of the intention behind each and every thought that pops into your head. As your thoughts occur, determine their frequency and know that the higher the frequency of your thoughts, the more positive your reality will be. Likewise with low frequency thoughts.

Ask yourself what the intention is as you create your thoughts. If the intention is negative, or of a low frequency, you will attract low frequency events based on the level and duration of the attention you give them. Likewise with higher frequency intentions and thoughts.

When you catch yourself complaining or resisting or disliking, immediately change your thoughts to a higher frequency. The more you do this the better you will feel, both mentally and physically because not only are you influencing the way you experience reality, but through your intention you are influencing reality itself.

Do you want your reality to be filled with joy and happiness? If so, build higher frequency intentions and transmute them into thoughts, keeping your attention on these high frequency thoughts as much as you can. Not only will you attract high frequency events, but low frequency events will have less affect on you. You will influence the creation of your desired reality far more than you ever thought possible.

For example, let's say you are relaxing at home and someone starts using a loud machine in the neighborhood. Your first thought is probably going to be of annoyance. This is a low frequency thought based on the intention to eliminate that person or make them stop using that machine.

Would you actually make that person disappear if you could? No, but you would certainly make them turn off the machine if you could.

Turn the low frequncy intention of eliminating the person or at least the noise into an intention of tolerance. That person is not trying to annoy you. They are probably trying to improve the quality or appearance of their yard or home or street, which indirectly benefits you.

Now ask yourself if you've ever had occaision to make loud noises that might annoy your neighbors. I'll bet you have. When you turn the low frequency intention to one of a higher frequency, you actually feel good, without ever confronting the perpetrator or having them stop their activity. You may even feel better than you would had the annoyance not popped up in the first place!

4-15-11 Update

Since I created this page I have delved more deeply into intention and rather than "fix" the page, I'll give you this update, leaving you to agree or disagree, either way you'll come to know your own ideas about intention. The page as written, was not incorrect at the time.

Free thought is your gift from the universe. You may intend to act on new ideas or just hold them in your awareness, but either way, these intentions reflect your free thought. You can choose act mentally or physically on these desires, or even drop them as new ones arise, but the intentions you pursue the most vigorously will serve to shape your reality the most.

The most desirable intentions steer you toward a desired outcome for you or someone else, or toward a creative solution. Intending to harm or destroy will draw negative energy to you, and falsly strengthen and affirm your reasons for desiring to harm. Negative intentions create a vicious circle that feeds itself until something breaks it.

Monitor your thoughts and intentions and if they are negative in nature drop them for positive ones. Again, thoughts and intentions do more to shape your experience than anything else. Decide what kind of experiences you want to have and use your free thought, intention, action and visualization accordingly.
