Lose Weight Now

CREATING THE REALITY YOU WANT, WEIGHT LOSS SPECIAL EDITION
As a human you have been given several God-like powers. The first is the power of free thinking. There is no limit or rule or constraint that can possibly make you think any other way than what you want. This is the ultimate freedom and the ultimate power, and can be used to create any reality you want to experience. It can be used to lose weight, get that dream job or anything else you might want to experience.
Free thinking allows you to create anything you want in your mind, no matter what it is or whether it is evil or virtuous. These mind creations radiate out from your body and can actually grace your radiance with high frequency, or good energy, or taint your space with low frequency energy, or negativity. When you want to lose weight now and are in a healthy mode, this positive energy affects those you come in contact with in a positive way.
There are individual human thoughts and there is a collective thought that colors the existence of humanity. When your thoughts are positive, you radiate good energy, uplifting your personal energy as well as that of the collective consciousness. When your energy reflects a lose weight now mentality, it makes other people want to try things that they didn't think they could do, including wanting to lose weight now.
When you radiate negativity you drag yourself as well as the collective consciousness to a lower energy. From a lose weight now standpoint, this might be the disgust you feel after having eaten a bunch of donuts prior to arriving at work. the donuts were delicious, but now you have greasy indigestion and you feel fatter than ever with no way out. You project this feeling, even if you cover it cheerfulness. People sense it, and subconsciously will agree that you are troubled and this makes them imperceptively nervous in your presence.
Whatever frequency the thoughts you create, you draw that same frequency of people, thoughts and events to you. If your state is a constant conflict between the craving of food and the desire to maintain a healthy weight and look, people of that same ilk will appear and people of a healthy mindset will be absent. Even if you accept your state of health and love of over eating and unhealthy food, healthy people will sense this and not feel nervous in your presence. But this is not the lose weight now mentality. If you have the lose weight now mentality, healthy people will be drawn to you and encourage you, sadly, they will even respect you more--that's just how it is.
A negative state is like a black hole whose gravity is so great that not even light can escape its pull. At the same time, this incredible attracting force shoots jets of energy away from it, affecting the area around it for many light years--so it is with a negative state of mind, except the energy it gives off is detrimental to the whole.
A positive state makes the person into a kind of beacon of light that radiates outward much farther than the boundaries of the body. It also attracts high frequency thoughts, people and events to you. This positive energy uplifts the collective by its very existence. You need not actually do anything to uplift the collective when you are in a positive state, though the state will make you want to. The lose weight now mentality is such a state.
The power of free thinking holds within it the power of thought creation. With each new thought, not only have you created a possibility, but you have created a force that affects you, your situation and the collective.
The next God-like quality is the power of intention. First you create a thought or idea, then you either intend to apply it, whether in thought or the physical. A high frequency intention might be "if I could make one person laugh" or "maybe I should give that homeless person this change". The opposite extreme, and they are out there, would go "how many people can I eliminate at one time"?
An intention acted upon only in thought still has power. You can give it even greater power through intending to manifest it in the physical world. This is the power of choice.
Once you have chosen to manifest your intention, you put into play the next power, or the power of transformation. Using the power of free, creative thought, you figure out how to transform your intention into reality using your body, tools, other people, whatever you might need to transform your intention into reality.
The power to act on your intention is the gift of your physical body. With the body, the senses, the voice and everything else, you have the power to act out what your creative thought has determined is required to transform your intention into physical reality.
The power to free think allows you to create new ideas. The power of choice and intention allow you to choose to manifest your ideas either in thought, or in the physical. The power of transformation allows you to use free, creative thought to engage the power of action to manifest your intention, either mentally, physically or both.
This group of powers that you have is the very God-like power of creation. Your power to create physical things may be somewhat limited, but is less limited than you might think. Your power to create new ideas is absolutely limitless, and may be more powerful than your physical power. You can use this power to lose weight now.
Your power of creation can help you to create the experiences that you would like to have. In fact, your power of creation and intention and transformation have brought you to the reality you are experiencing right now, whether you consider it good or bad.
Say you are reading this and having a Starbucks. At some point in the past you created the thought to do just that. You made the choice to manifest this intention, and so you transformed it into reality. Another way to look at it is through the many-worlds theory, which holds that all possibilities already exist and you merely decide which one to experience. Either way, the exciting thing is that choice is apparently a factor.
So now you know you can create any reality you want and experience it through your imagination. You can also create and intend physical reality to a certain extent. Some things will take longer, such as losing weight, but they are really no more difficult than surfing the web with a Starbucks. What is the difference? Time. You focused on going to Starbucks, unwavering in your resolve, and persisted until it manifested as your physical reality.
Those are exactly the steps required to lose weight. Why is it so difficult for most people? Because of the law of impermanence. Anything in the world of form is impermanent, including thoughts and resolutions to lose weight now.
In the ten minutes it took you to walk to Starbucks, your resolve held steady. There was no reason not to go, not to mention you can persist in anything for ten minutes. Persisting in a healthy lifestyle for six months is another story because of distractions of life, of the waxing and waning of all thoughts including weight loss. The powerful resolve you feel right now to lose weight or stop smoking cannot last forever.
And so we must find a way to carry us through the times when your resolve to do anything is low or absent. For weight loss, this entails acquiring the lose weight now mentality and creating the body you want through the power of creation.
Because we know that all forms, including thoughts and intentions are impermanent, perhaps we can use this knowledge to offset the self-defeating behavior that stomps on the intention to lose weight now when it is in the waning range of the cycle.
At any given time, you cannot actually speed up the weight loss process beyond a certain point without resorting to dangerous and unhealthy methods. Those are out.
When you create a new idea, it automatically becomes possible. That is an absolute. It is the probability of that idea becoming reality that is variable. Because resolve is impermanent, perhaps we can use probability as an aid to keep the resolve in play when the desire to eat cake shows up to blow the moment.
If you maintain a probability tally in your head throughout the day, maybe this can keep you on track. For example, if you eat a healthy breakfast, your probability of success for the day is high. If at lunch you eat two chili cheese dogs, fries and a shake, your probability for success drops like a rock.
Rather than rely on brut force resolve and calorie counting to maintain your healthy lifestyle, assign each event a positive or negative probability. Base the probability on whether the thing you are about to eat and the quantity you are taking will increase the probability of success or decrease the probability of success.
If the item increases your probability of success, good. If not, ask yourself why only six hours earlier, you wanted nothing more than to lose 30 pounds. Was this just some vain yet fleeting desire, or do you really want this? Where did that healthy morning person go? Did it get trampled by cake-boy? Or was it just an apparition?
If you eat the cake anyway, perhaps this healthy person you would like to be is just an apparition and not really who you want to be anyway. Do you really want to lose weight now? The answer is yes.
As SOON as you see the cake and want it, recognize that it will greatly decrease your probability of success. Try to find something else that will increase your probability of success like say, an apple. Drop the idea of cake itself like hot potato. Get back into lose weight now mode.
Create the idea and intention to eat the apple instead. When you've finished the apple, KNOW that you are the healthy person you want to be right now because you are acting out your intention. Don't think about yesterday or tomorrow, you can't experience them right now, you can only experience this moment, and in this moment you are the healthy person you want to be.
Analyzing the effect an action will make on you probability of success is much easier and more logical than eating this over that because of what some diet says. You know what the healthy foods are by now, if not buy a book or see a nutritionist.
Remember, prior to any action, even parking the car so as to have to walk farther for the exercise, analyze the effect of the action on your success probability. Walking farther will definitely enhance your probability of success.
Since time is the enemy of resolve we will use it as an aid to success by setting an easily attainable goal such as five pounds lost in a month. This will let you know the degree to which your actions enhance or detract from your probability of success.
One more thing--all probability analyses will be measured in terms of " probability of success." we already know that success is possible, and we drive the probability of success through the creation of our reality. There is no failure, just more or less probability of success. It's nothing more than a new way of thinking about maintaining the path to your desired reality.
At any given time of day, periodically analyze what you are doing, and the type of future reality you are actively creating in the moment. Decide whether your thoughts and actions are increasing your probability of success or decreasing it. Apply the question to all areas of your experience you wish to improve.
Even as you contemplate the future reality you are creating, don't forget to enjoy this moment, this reality that you have already chosen through past thoughts and actions.
The next idea to maintain your resolve to create the experiences you want is to eliminate the conflict. With the subject of weight loss, the conflict lies between the time dependent desire to look, feel and be healthy, and wanting to over eat unhealthy foods. By eliminating the constant pulling in one direction or the other, you come into a state if non resistance that aligns with universal flow and intelligence.
Here's how it works. An average dieter thinks "I want to eat that but I shouldn't. I want to eat more but I shouldn't. I should eat that but I don't want to." With these thoughts there is great conflict and stress and suffering and suffering due to unfulfilled wanting.
Stop wanting to always eat more, and stop wanting to eat the unhealthy substances. Stop these wants when the craving hits by knowing the past is gone and the person you were and the foods you craved and the victim of your own fat and craving that you thought was your identity is gone. Who do you want to be in this moment? You want to lose weight now.
Even if you are huge, just knowing you are doing something about it makes you feel good. You feel much better than being in the act of eating cake. Let's face it, you feel lousy after you eat the cake, so lousy that you might eat even more! But if you use the very sight of cake to strengthen your lose weight now mentality, you feel great. And feeling great is what this whole thing is about.
Let thoughts of health and beauty and fitness be your best friend. Let even the thought of unhealthy living conjure visions of joint damage, vein disease, diabetes, heart disease, and disgusting blobs of yellow visceral fat that squeeze your innards into malfunctioning hunks of shit. Your identity no longer includes a "love for anything sweet". That was just your ego, not your true self. Cravings are thoughts, not identities. Your power of creation allows you to choose a lose weight now mentality or the hopelessness of eating the cake and then being even more hopeless and having more.
Thoughts and images of health and beauty pervade your very being while unhealthy cravings no longer exist within you. Is this even possible? If you can think it, it is automatically possible. As soon as unhealthy thoughts arise, squash them with visions of bikinis and six packs and going shirtless and never being embarrassed about the state of your health again.
But don't just want health for yourself. Want it for your family, that you will be around longer for them to enjoy. Want health because a beautiful you makes the world more pleasing to others. Want it so that you can teach others that if you can do it, anyone can. Want it because a happier you uplifts the human condition.
Know that by feeling healthy, you will make the world a better place, that this may be the one way you can actually make a difference. With your new lose weight now mentality, you will be happier and people will sense it, even if you haven't lost any weight yet.
If you truly want the reality of a healthy body, or anything else, you hold within you the power to create it. Choose to use that power and your wishes will become reality. The lose weight now mentality isn't just a number on a scale, it's an energy that you choose to exist in. It's an energy that not only makes you healthier and happier, it makes the world a better place.
Try this for anything you would like to manifest in your experience. Don't just "want to lose weight". Want even more to get the lose weight now mentality, and the weight loss will follow.
3/11/09 UPDATE--When I wrote this page I had dropped 22lbs. After a 3 week plateau at 25lbs., I have now dropped a total of 30lbs. This stuff works!
Three months ago I was mired in a years-long struggle to not gain weight by yo-yo dieting and making feeble attempts at weight loss. But old habits die hard, and I always went back to junk food, incessant snacking, huge amounts of fat, sugar, beer, and whatever sounded tasty at the time, no matter how unhealthy. I would over drink, then over eat, then have desert, then go to bed, with no physical activity at all. Several times I had bouts of "reflux" whereby I would barf in my sleep, inhale it, and wake up in a frenzy. I am 5'8", and at the time weighed in at 215 lbs--clinically obese. I got back on the yo-yo and dropped 5 pounds. But I knew nothing had changed. I had to lose weight now.
Just after thanksgiving, 2008, I was grilling chicken, and had just finished off some chips and a hand full of nuts, and thought that if I had a beer, I might not feel any glow because my stomach felt full. I decided to have rum and coke instead, and after several, I over ate, then had dinner (even though I felt full), then I had desert. I woke up at 2:30 AM and felt absolutely horrible, with no end in sight. At that moment I knew I had to change. I had to stop putting crap in my body because that crap was showing big time. I looked in the mirror and instead of sucking in my gut, I shoved it out--I was totally disgusted! I knew I had to LOSE WEIGHT NOW, and start eating healthy foods.
By the way, I'm not telling you how YOU can lose weight, I'm telling you how I did, and how I am continuing to lose more. This works 100% for me. It might work for you if you want to lose weight now too. However, if you aren't willing to do ALL the things required to drop the blubber, you will fail, no matter what diet or lifestyle you attempt.
Once I made my decision to start eating healthy and lose weight now, I checked out all the latest fad diets and decided to create my own, by focusing on my weaknesses. Also, it would have to be sustainable--not some kind of "program" that you start, meet your goal, and then drop. I had to lose weight now and keep it off for life.
First, I decided that to the max extent possible (I have to splurge on occasion), I would eat from four food groups--Fresh Vegetables, Fresh Fruits, Whole Grains, and Lean Meats.
Second, I would eat four meals a day for an average daily calorie intake of 1500-1700 calories. My danger zone is 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, when I would usually snack on about 500 calories of this or that, then with a full stomach, I would drink 2-4 beers while cooking dinner. On my new lifestyle, rather than grabbing a bag of chips or nuts or whatever at 3:30, I would actually eat what would mentally qualify as a meal--for example, a turkey sandwich and a few carrot sticks and maybe an orange or small apple. The key here, is never let yourself get really hungry. Likewise, don't over eat.
Third, I MUST do some kind of workout almost every day. Sometimes I work out seven times a week, and sometimes three, but I plan on doing something every day for a minimum of 20 minutes--walking, elliptical trainer, sit ups, stair climbing, whatever--before doing any workout, ask your doctor. I am not recommending that YOU work out, I'm telling you what works for me. Working out might not be good for you without proper instruction! Why do I say that? When I was a kid growing up in Michigan, every winter the news would run a story about some fat, sedentary, out of shape person who died while doing nothing more than shoveling snow. So don't get all Ga Ga reading this and after 20 years of nothing, go out and run 10 miles. Winding up dead totally defeats the purpose of trying to be healthy. BEFORE YOU WORK OUT, GET A PHYSICAL! LET YOUR DOCTOR TELL YOU TO WORK OUT, NOT ME. One thing for sure--I can't lose weight now without working out.
Whew--the only reason I harp on that whole DR. supervision thing when it comes to working out is because of the incredible sue-happy state our justice system has fallen into. I am not an authority on weight loss. I am not a doctor. I am not a nutritionist. I am simply relating what works for me so that anyone reading this might take away a tip or two that helps. I am an authority on MY weight loss ONLY. Following anything that I say works for me is at your own risk.
Next I STOPPED DRINKING for the most part. This was the main thing I was not willing to let go of before I was ready to do all the things I knew I needed to do to burn up the unwanted fat. Will I ever drink again? Absolutely, but for the most part 2-4 beers a day is a thing of the past. Drinking used to mean fun. But when going out to dinner revolved around who was driving, it became more of a pain than fun.
It is extremely freeing to know that I can have just as much fun without booze--and look and feel a whole lot better the next day. Alcohol is poison I once heard that your kidneys and liver have over 300 functions. When you drink, your liver and kidneys stop all functions except getting rid of the alcohol. How do I know? You can be totally dehydrated and your urine will be dark. If you are totally dehydrated and then drink booze, your urine will be clear because your body sucks out every bit of moisture it can find to flush out the alcohol and then leaves the impurities that urination is supposed to get rid of INSIDE YOU! That'll just about cover the booze. Drink lots of water, little or no fire water and you might lose weight now.
That's it. That's how I burned 22 pounds of extra fat in nine weeks, and it's still working. To recap, Here is what I did:
1. Eat fresh fruit, fresh veggies, lean meat, and whole grains to the max extent possible.
2. Eat four meals a day of around 400 calories each, of the above foods. Never get super hungry, and don't snack between the four meals--maybe some fruit or sugar free jello only, or sometimes I would eat a small pile of toll house mini chocolate chips. Sometimes you gotta eat a big old hunk of cake too. But only rarely. These things will slow your weight loss, but will not stop it unless you quit. This is not a program--this is the way I live now and for the duration. my lose weight now program works for me, a sugar lovin' fool.
3. Work out most every day, 3 times a week minimum.
4. No drinking for the most part.
After shedding 22 pounds (now it's 30lbs.) I look and feel much better, but I'm only about half way done. My knees and ankles thank me, my guts thank me, and I thank me. It is TOTALLY worth it!
I've been drilling new holes in belts that before barely even fit. My old pants bunch up and I'll be buying new ones soon. When I do buy clothes, if they are slightly snug, I buy them any way because I will stay on the lose weight now lifestyle. I haven't thrown out old clothes yet but that would be a great way of not looking back and sinking into my old way of life. That is not an option.
Every once in a while I absolutely splurge on cake, ice cream, cookies, shakes, Mcdonald's, whatever. Then I observe the weight gain and feel rotten physically, and know that eating junk is not as much fun as your "deprived" state thinks. I will also on occasion have a few drinks. They make me tired, dull and unable to drive, (I won't drive even after 1 drink, ever!). I feel that slight headache, and rancid stomach and realize that the "fun" I get out of drinking is not worth the consequences, especially if I need to be productive that night or the next day. It is freeing to know that I can conduct any activity I want at any time because I have not consumed alcohol where before I would do it almost daily.
Drinking moderately may not affect your functioning in the world, but it will affect your health.
10/30/10 Update--Ok, it's time to fess up. Around the end of April 2009 I pretty much went on maintenance even though I was still overweight by about 20 pounds. As summer wore on so did the eating and drinking and now almost two years after beginning my lifestyle I've gained back 10 pounds. What bugs me is that even though I only gained ten pounds back it seems like I'm right back where I started though I'm still wearing 36 pants.
I feel fat. I don't like it. I'm going to fix it. Earlier I ate a Milky Way and two huge cookies. They tasted fine but now I feel much worse than that stuff tasted good. Why didn't I think of that then?
And so here I am, though I've been "dieting", I'm getting uncomfortable with how big my gut is getting. It's over. Starting this second I'm going balls to the wall serious just like I did in December of 2008. My current weight is 188. I will let you know as time goes on how it's going.
Home from lose weight now
