Our Definition of Happiness
Ok kids, here it is, our definition of happiness according to Forrest Writer-Boy. The first pre-requisite to a happy state is the lack of negative thoughts, feelings, or emotions. You’re not sad, angry, frustrated, scared or experiencing any other negative emotion that by default, will bring you down.
Here we go, HAPPINESS IS how you feel when you have met the first hurdle of no negative thoughts feelings, or emotions, AND you are experiencing any of the following thoughts, feelings, or emotions:
GLADNESS, LUCKY, LOVED, APPRECIATED, APPRECIATIVE, GRATITUDE, ANTICIPATION, EXCITEMENT, FUN, LAUGHTER, GIVING, KINDNESS, GOOD HEALTH, COMFORT, WELL-BEING, ACCOMPLISHMENT, JOY, PEACE OF MIND, TAKEN-CARE-OF, INTELLIGENT, FORTUNATE, CONFIDENT, CONTENTED, BELONGING, SELF-SUFFICIENT, MOTIVATED, CAUGHT-UP, ON TIME, CREATIVE, SPONTANEOUS, SAFE, MORAL, LOGICAL, PLEASED, PLEASANTLY SURPRISED, TRUSTWORTHY, LIKED, RESPECTED, GOOD-LOOKING, or any other positives you can think of.
To know that these and other positives are contributors to happiness, and to enjoy them as they are happening, is to experience true happiness. Yes, you have experienced and wasted a huge amount of happiness that went unnoticed, unappreciated, and unknowingly ignored.
There are so many ways to feel happy that for those who desire it, a level of happiness is only a conscious realization away. When you feel the thoughts and emotions mentioned earlier, instead of just being a spectator, remember to take control of them, enjoy them, know that right now, you are in a state of happiness, the intensity of which is determined by your level of appreciation, which is determined by your outlook.
If your outlook is positive, you will appreciate feelings of happiness with more intensity. If your outlook is negative—do I really need to explain further?
Can you control your feelings of appreciation through thought and attitude? Ah, yeah. Can you force yourself to suppress and banish negativity when it rears its ugly head? Uh, yeah. Ok, if the feelings mentioned before are hard to come by for you, how about a LACK OF PAIN? If you have to dig that deep though, you need to work on dumping the negative outlook. Our definition of happiness makes it much easier for you to be happy.
All things can be looked upon in a positive light or a negative light. The light you choose will determine your happiness. Tennis anyone?
