The Secret of Life

This secret of life is so simple as to be ignored by those who live in the shallowness of the ego.

This secret of life can be meaningless shapes on a page or a golden parachute that gives you a life of constant peace and happiness, which is what all humans are really looking for.

Here it is.

1.Nothing that happens ultimately matters.

2.That which does not happen, doesn't matter either.

3.Nothing really matters.

In order to use this secret on a daily basis, know that nothing that happens really matters. More importantly, here is my newest aha--that which does not happen doesn't matter either. So when you are expecting something and are investing time or energy or money expecting some reward, if it doesn't come,--it just doesn't matter in the big picture. Simply do that which you think you must to achieve your goals, then RELEASE them. If they were meant to happen, they will. If not, they won't.

On the surface, you may not want to agree. But if you take "nothing that happens matters" and "that which doesn't happen doesn't matter", this covers EVERYTHING! And so we now have a guide to tell us what to think in the face of everything that comes or doesn't come.

On a strictly human level, this may sound cold and callous. Let me explain. Say a person close to you becomes ill. You are greatly concerned and you worry and as you work through the established and accepted healing process you worry about the future, you worry about what's next, you worry about what if this person doesn't recover.

"Normal" people going through this process as either the sick one or the loved one at this point are now operating from the lowest frequency of being. They are being strictly human and the pervading mindset originates from fear. Fear of death, fear of loss of a loved one, of pain, fear of what's going to happen.

All "concerned" parties INTERNALIZE this fear, this problem to the point they can't tell the difference between the problem and themselves. In essence, they have allowed themselves to become the problem. They can't tell the difference between themselves and "what happens". They are so fully consumed by what happens that they think they ARE what happens. They are the other person's sickness, they are the accident, they are whatever it is that is happening. If what is happening is bad, they feel bad.

When you learn to seperate who you really are (your conciousness or soul or spirit) from what happens in your life, you can act out of love and concern for the sick person, and do the right thing without internalizing all the negativity that the process entails. You can act out of calmness and compassion, and not from fear which the sick person will sense and will cause them to be even more fearful than they are.

It is most important that of all people, the sick person can benefit most by differentiating the being that they are from the illness in their form. If you try to realize that illness is part of the content of your life but not who you are, you can begin to lose the fear and worry. You can do all the things possible for your healing, then release them to the universe, knowing that whatever happens was supposed to.

One definition of enlightenment is the end of suffering. If you know that neither "what happens" nor "what doesn't happen" matters, you will be very close to ending your earthly suffering. But you must constantly remind yourself of this for it to be affective. this is your out, your golden parachute for life. So simple, yet so complete.

Will there be times when this doesn't work? Yes. That will be when you are totally absorbed in being human. When it does not work, it will be because your ego is exclaiming "this can't be" when it already is. Keep the secret of life in mind at all times. When something "happens", you will already know that "this ultimately doesn't matter." Believe it. In this case the words will come from the spirit, not the ego that thinks it knows the way things should be and scrambles to resist.

Rather than resist, you will use the secret of life and do what is required of you at the time, from a state of detachment from the situation, knowing the situation is not YOU but something that happens, and you will act out of conciousness instead of fear or anger or resistence. Your conciousness will know that however this turns out, everything that could possibly be done was done, and this was how it was supposed to be. In knowing beforehand that on a spiritual level, the outcome didn't really matter, the actions were more aligned with universal intelligence, and had the highest chance of success. There was no stress or fear or hope, just right action taken toward a desired outcome, then released to the universe.

When you take away what happens and what doesn't happen, what's left? The real you, the eternal you, right now. When you use the secret of life from a spiritual place, it works every time.

The three statements must be your overriding and overall reality as each moment of life unfolds. It may work after the fact, but not as affectively as if the statements are used as a never-ending presence. With the Secret of Life firmly affixed to your conciousness, you will not know fear, frustration, or negativity. There will be no resistence to what is, just acceptance of what you cannot change, of what already is.

Again this does not mean throw up your hands and walk away from things you can change, or curl up in a fetal position and whimper. It means that once you accept things you cannot change, you will automatically do what is required in the moment, from a place of conciousness, not fear or anger or frustration.

For me this secret of life is more of a feeling or fuzzy knowing than something that can be conveyed with man-made words. It is conciously holding that I should not confuse who I am with what happens in my life. That is the meaning of "nothing matters." It is a great comfort to know that I no longer have to feel fear, anger, frustration or other negativity because I now know how to fly above those things without compromising love, joy, and happiness.

Even if you can't see the truth of the secret of life right now, take comfort that you will when you eventually awaken from this dream of being human. Proceed directly to the...
