Steps To Success

Steps To Success

To achieve any goal that is worthy, a certain amount of work is absolutely necessary, and can be broken into Steps To Success. Also, other people MUST help whether paid or unpaid. These steps are in loose chronological order. If you think some would be better suited earlier or later in the steps, move them. If you think you need to move some of them, you pass. Now you need to decide which ones--yes, it's kind of a puzzle, but you will be more likely to succeed by putting it together in logical order.

1. CONCEIVE. Use any means to come up with project such as unavailability of an item or any unfilled need. Everything that man has created--planes, foods, cars, air conditioners- everything was at one time just an idea. These steps to success, or forms of them were followed in the creation of EVERYTHING.

2. BRAINSTORM. Use this to come up with projects and also for finding methods of carrying out different portions of the project. With a pad and a pen, write down every idea, no matter how ridiculous or unfeasible—you will weed them out later.

3. ANALYZE. Analysis of ideas to determine feasibility. Can it be done? How? And is it worthwhile? Is success even possible? On the contrary, success should be probable. This goes for anything—losing weight, starting a business, whatever.

4. BENEFIT. Does the project benefit anyone besides you? In order to get help from others, they must also get something or perceive a gain from the project. "What's in it for me?" is what your customers, your partners, and most of all you need to ask. Of course, you must also benefit, even if all you’ll get is satisfaction. What will you get? Is it worth the time and money? Make a list of all the benefits to all the players and determine if it’s worthwhile.

5. BELIEVE. You must believe in the project. How can you expect others to invest in your ideas if you aren’t even sure about them yourself? Unless you believe in and are excited about the project with every bone in your body, it might be wise to keep looking for the right project. You can do it. The people who are doing it now have no better brain than you. They think they can't do WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE. Once you believe—really believe, nothing can stop you.

6. DESIRE. You have decided the plan is possible but now must decide how important it is to accomplish. Are you willing to do ALL the required Steps To Success? There will be plenty of frustration, unanticipated obstacles, and do-overs. By knowing this ahead of time you will be better prepared to deal with them when they show up—and they will show up.

7. VISUALIZE the project in its completed state. See the flat belly or use the product in your mind. It absolutely works! See the different people that want your help. Imagine the monetary gain and the satisfaction of knowing you have given others pleasure.

8. DECIDE. Decide to go ahead with the project. This is a big deal! Once you decide, make it your obsession. By the time you decide to forge ahead, you know it can be done, you believe in it, and know that you can make others believe in it. Review all steps to success.

9. ACT. This is the single, MOST IMPORTANT aspect of any endeavor. Without action, your ideas are just that-worthless thoughts. They are nothing until acted upon. Do anything--write a letter--call someone--go out to the store and look—join a gym, whatever. Just do something to get a jump-start. NOW! Document each action taken. Consider each action its own success.

10. PLAN your strategy like you planned on getting your current job. Map out all details and requirements and come up with a time line for their completion. Make every effort to meet these "mini-goals" or their own success.

12. SET GOALS. ORGANIZE your thoughts and put all mini-goals in chronological order. Write down each step so that your next goal is the completion of the next step, NOT the completion of the project. If you look too long at the project as a package, it may look difficult. Base your success on accomplishing only the next goal. Once a mini-goal is complete, know that all you have to do is to achieve more mini-goals.

11. STUDY. Research and learn your subject inside and out. You must be an expert. Make calls, google it, go to library, write letters, read magazines, anything to increase your knowledge of the subject.

12. CONTACT. It is now time to make contact with possible buyers or partners. Make calls, write letters, show up. Remember when people say it can't be done they mean "it hasn’t been done yet!"

13. IDENTIFY. Through your contacts you will unearth names of the people who can help you. Most likely these names will come from letters of rejection. These letters are stepping stones! How else could you identify the guy who can help?

14. CONVINCE the person who can help you that you are interesting and have something that THEY WANT. Convince them that you can help THEM! SELL yourself! If the person who can help is you, you must also convince yourself of the project's worth. Review all steps to success.

15. PERCEIVE rejections as stepping stones and as TOOLS. Use them to your advantage. Before any such project can be sold or accomplished, rejections are REQUIRED to be experienced. If it was THAT easy, everybody would do it. Rejections are integral Steps to Success. Use them as tools.

16. PERSEVERE. You must never stop trying because then and only then do you fail. Demand of yourself success. The longer you try the less likely it is that you will fail. Remember, you decided long ago the project was worth it. Keep on working and you will win!

17. DISCOUNT all unproductive criticism. Listen to ideas but close your ears to negativity. You have already decided to go through with it and quitting is NOT an option. Let nothing sway your resolve--not even self-criticism. Remember, jealous people would rather see you fail and can thus justify their own inaction! When you start to question the project, go immediately to VISUALIZATION. This will help you regain a POSITIVE view of the project. The easy way out is to drop it. You demand more than that of yourself than to quit. Remember-YES I CAN. Say it.

18. RECOGNIZE your own subconscious efforts to put off the project like eating, watching TV, starting new projects. These are tricks conjured up in your own mind to make you quit, thus avoiding failure and the feelings that go with it. Know that you really have failed if you do stop trying. You already KNOW you can do it, so proceed again to VISUALIZATION. When in doubt, read over all the Steps to Success.

19. CREATE the project. Once the idea has been sold to those who make decisions, you must stop at nothing to make it the best on earth. Every detail must be perfect, the quality unquestionable. If one minor detail requires a complete overhaul, then do it. You will feel better knowing you have excelled. Stop at nothing to make it OUTSTANDING. If it's already been done yours WILL be better. NEVER STOP IMPROVING IT! If improvements begin to slow the work down, RECOGNIZE IT, and complete the project. THEN go back and improve it some more, and keep reviewing the Steps To Success.

20. ADVERTISE IT. This is one of the most important steps. How can a guy that WOULD buy it make the purchase if he doesn't know about it? Present it such that people want it sight unseen! Make them know that they NEED it. No one will come to you, you must bring it to them.

21. SELL IT. Whether you or a helper sells it, nothing can be gained unless it is distributed. You can't benefit and neither can the buyer if he doesn’t actually HAVE it.

22. REAP THE BENEFITS! You have accomplished a lofty goal. Lavish in it, enjoy it, wallow in it. Share your success with others. BE HAPPY! That is why you started the project--to reap the happiness of its accomplishment.

23. GO Step one. This is important to The steps To Success as well as your happiness. Once you have accomplished a goal, no matter how small or large, set new ones. In order for your life to maintain meaning, you must ALWAYS have new dreams to replace the ones you have lived. NEVER forget it. HAVE FUN! Review the steps to success.
